Oluyomi M. Adesoji holds a bachelor's degree in microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and an M.Sc. in Statistics with a specialization in Public Health and Epidemiology Methodology from Hasselt University, Belgium.

She then pursued her doctoral studies at the University of Cologne, Germany, where she earned a Ph.D. in statistical genetics, focusing on the study of genetic variation in complex diseases.

Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral researcher in the same research unit. Oluyomi's research interests lie in applying statistical methods to well-curated datasets to address significant health-related questions. Her work has involved identifying pleiotropic rare and common variations in genetic epilepsies, as well as various benchmarking and annotation studies.

She is also a member of the analyst team for the International League Against Epilepsy Consortium on Complex Epilepsies.
